This is the first post in my new blog. This blog is dedicated to documenting various things I have learned about Dynamics AX.

My current employer is a heavy manufacturing company in Southern Ontario. At this time I not going to name my employer directly as the opinions and advice offered in this blog are mine, and mine alone.

A little history about me. I first heard about Dynamics ax just about 4 years ago, I made the decision to volunteer to be part of our legacy ERP replacement search team. It is a decision that went on to define my professional career from that point forward. At the time I assumed that what would become our AX project was a short term commitment, I would be proven wrong.

Once AX was chosen an implementation team was quickly selected and I was on that team. Initially my duties were to be the Technical Project Manager, which at the time I had no idea what it meant.

As our project progressed I became more and more involved with the manufacturing subject matter experts. Soon I was leading the manufacturing implementation as well the technical implementation. It wasn't long after this that AX became my full time job.

In the last three years I have touched a great many areas and technologies related to Dynamics AX.

I look forward to sharing some of the lessons I have learned on this journey.
